4/16/22 Utah Jazz vs Dallas Mavericks

 

Let's be real here. The Utah Jazz had a disappointing season. They have a lot of talent in Mitchell and Gobert, but I guess the supposed animosity they have with each other is keeping them down. They have solid pieces around them in Conley and Bogdanovic, but they always seem to fall short of expectations. Jordan Clarkson has been solid off the bench as well. Trade or coaching change next season? That's a discussion for another time.

The Mavericks had an amazing season. I thought that this would be a rebuilding year to get weapons for Luka next season, but their team chemistry was great. Of course Luka carried every game, but others helped. The problem is Doncic is out for game 1, and there is no timetable for his return. It's such a shame because this would have been a great matchup if he played. 

I was fading the Jazz this entire season, but without Luka out of the lineup for the Mavericks you have to give the Jazz the win here.

Prediction: 109-99 JAZZ
