12/30/17 NBA Picks

Wow 4-5 record last night. There were some surprising upsets. Boogie did manage to go off against the Mavs, but that wasn't enough. Rockets are in a mini-slump. They really miss Capela. The Warriors lost by 11... 11! Last night was a forgettable night for my picks, but on to tonight!

Pelicans (-5.5) vs Knicks

It was a disappointing loss by the Pelicans yesterday against the Mavs, but I expect them to bounce back and beat the Knicks easily in this one. They put up 120 points, but gave up 128. Boogie and Davis goes off again tonight, and they step up on their defense.
Score: Pelicans 113-102

Magic (+1.5) vs Heat

The Magic got it done against the Pistons last time they played, and the Heat lost badly to the Nets last night. I can't trust the Heat right now, and this game is a stay away game. If I had to choose I would pick the Magic if Aaron Gordon plays.
Score: Magic 103-97

Spurs (-5.5) vs Detroit

When will the Spurs ever be bad? I can't bet against them with only a 5 point spread. Kawhi Leonard should play tonight.
Score: Spurs 102-93

Blazers (-3.5) vs Hawks

The Blazers had an amazing comeback against the Sixers last time around, and that was without Lillard. He should be back tonight and I fully expect them to win and cover.
Score: Blazers 113-106

Cavaliers (-3.5) vs Jazz

The Jazz's defense is still good, but it's much more vulnerable without Gobert. Look for Lebron to take over, win, and cover against the Jazz.
Score: Cavaliers 105-93

Warriors (-13.5) vs Grizzlies

I do not like this game either, but Steph should be back tonight. He might have a minutes restriction so look out for that. Grizzlies are still bad without Conley.
Score: Warriors 118-94

Sixers (+7.5) vs Nuggets

The Sixers will be without Joel Embiid tonight, but I expect them to keep it close.
Score: Nuggets 106-102
